His diverse heritage includes a mother of Spanish, Dominican, and Japanese descent, while his father is of Black and Native American descent. Aiko has two sisters, Miyoko and Jamila, the latter known as Mila J, who were members of the 90s group Gyrl. Tragically, her older brother, Miyagi, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in 2010 and died in 2012 at the age of 26.
