Sean Anthony Abbott (born 29 February 1992) is an Australian professional cricketer originally from Windsor in New South Wales who has represented his country internationally in white-ball cricket. After playing junior cricket at Baulkham Hills Cricket Club, he progressed to play grade cricket for the Parramatta district. Abbott completed his studies at Gilroy College, Castle Hill. He is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm fast-medium.
Abbott made his first-class debut for New South Wales in 2011-12 and his List A debut in 2013-14. He quickly established himself as a regular member of the team and was a constant contributor.
In 2014-15, Abbott made his international debut for Australia in a T20I match against Pakistan. He made his ODI debut two days later, also against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates. He then played in two more T20I matches for Australia against South Africa in early November 2014. The CA awarded him the Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year award at the Allan Border Medal ceremony in 2015.
