The plot of wonders
In the plot of “The Marvels”, Carol Danvers destroys the Supreme Intelligence of the Kree, causing civil war and desolation on their homeworld, Hala. Kree leader Dar-Benn discovers the Quantum Bands and uses their power to create jump points for rapid space travel. Monica Rambeau investigates a jump point near Earth, while Danvers explores another opened by Dar-Benn.
Touching the jump points causes them to switch places with Kamala Khan. The trio discover that their light-based powers are linked and form a team called “the Wonders.” They join forces in a Skrull colony to stop Dar-Benn from destabilizing the universe. Dar-Benn targets planets important to Danvers, leading to a final confrontation on the water planet Aladna.
Despite the challenges, the Marvels defeat Dar-Benn, closing the jump point but leaving Rambeau stranded in a parallel universe. Inspired, Kamala forms a new group of heroes. In a mid-credits scene, Rambeau encounters alternate versions of his mother and Beast in another reality.
