Friday the 13th Plot

During 1958, at Camp Crystal Lake, two counselors are murdered by an unknown attacker. Years later, a new group of counselors arrive, along with camp owner Steve Christy, to reopen the camp. Strange things start to happen when a storm hits the area. One by one, the councilors are killed in gruesome ways: some are stabbed, others are shot with arrows, and others are hacked down with an axe.

Alice, one of the counselors, discovers the bodies of her friends and realizes that there is a murderer on the loose. She eventually confronts Mrs. Voorhees, who is revealed to be her murderer. Mrs. Voorhees blames the counselors for the death of her son, Jason, who drowned in the lake years ago while the counselors were not paying attention. A deadly fight ensues and Alice manages to defeat Mrs. Voorhees by decapitating her.

Exhausted, Alice tries to find safety, but a decomposing body, presumably Jason’s, drags her into the lake. She wakes up in a hospital, where the police tell her that they found no evidence that she was a boy. However, she Alice insists that Jason is still in the lake, leaving the ending open to interpretation.
