About RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16
Season 16 of RuPaul’s Drag Race premiered on January 5, 2024, and aired on MTV in the United States. The reality competition series features fourteen drag queens competing for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar.” In August 2023, the show, along with its companion series RuPaul’s Drag Race Untucked, was officially renewed and continued airing on MTV.

Who was eliminated on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16 episode 1?
On RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16 episode 1, no queens were eliminated. The episode followed a split premiere format with seven of the 14 queens entering the Werk Room for a talent show. Unlike previous seasons, there were no eliminations in this phase. Instead, a lip sync battle took place for the victory.
Despite expectations that some contestants might be in danger after criticism from the judges, lip-syncing determined the winner and he was granted immunity. Sapphira Cristal emerged as the winner, securing immunity and the opportunity to use her in a future episode if necessary.
The Rate-A-Queen twist, where the queens ranked each other, added a unique element to the judging process in Episodes 1 and 2, and the usual judging format will return in Episode 3.
