the wonders
“The Marvels,” a 2023 American superhero film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a sequel to 2019’s “Captain Marvel” and a continuation of the 2022 television series “Ms. Marvel.” Directed by Nia DaCosta, it stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, respectively.
The story involves the trio teaming up and experiencing a unique phenomenon where they swap places by using their powers. Premiering in Las Vegas on November 7, 2023 and released in the United States on November 10 as part of Phase Five of the MCU, the film received mixed reviews, with praise for DaCosta’s direction and the lead chemistry, but criticism of the plot. Despite facing challenges at the box office, “The Marvels” holds significance in the expanding Marvel cinematic universe.
What to see before the wonders?

The plot of wonders
In “The Marvels,” the story begins with Carol Danvers doing something the Supreme Intelligence doesn’t like. This causes a huge fight between the Kree people and their home planet, Hala, is ruined. Dar-Benn, the new Kree leader, uses something called Quantum Bands to perform special jumps in space. At the same time, Nick Fury is trying to make peace between the Kree and Skrull peoples. Monica Rambeau is observing strange things happening in space. Kamala Khan gets involved and they end up switching places and fighting each other’s enemies.
They discover that their powers are connected. As “the Wonders”, they try to stop Dar-Benn from further ruining the universe. The big fight takes place on a water planet called Aladna. Dar-Benn uses Quantum Bands to make a large space hole.
Kamala fixes it, but Monica gets stuck somewhere else. Kamala decides to find more heroes, starting with Kate Bishop. In a scene after the main film, Monica wakes up in a different universe with different people. The story is about working together, making sacrifices, and dealing with the results of having special powers in the Marvel world.
