Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2
“Jujutsu Kaisen” is an anime series based on the manga by Gege Akutami. The second season, announced on February 12, 2022, aired from July 6 to December 28, 2023, adapting the story arcs “Hidden Inventory/Untimely Death” and “Shibuya Incident”. The first part focuses on the past of the characters Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto, while the second part describes an intense battle in Shibuya on Halloween.

What did Kenjaku do at the end of the Shibuya arc?
At the end of the Shibuya Arc in Jujutsu Kaisen, Kenjaku absorbed the Cursed Spirit Mahito using Cursed Spirit Manipulation. After doing so, he extracted Mahito’s dormant Transfiguration, a vital part of his sinister plan. Kenjaku then faced the Jujutsu sorcerers, aiming to take control of the Prison Kingdom. In the manga, it is revealed that Kenjaku needed Mahito’s technique to start the Culling Games, a battle royale involving sorcerers from the past and present.
By remotely casting Idle Transfiguration, he awakened the non-sorcerers marked in his plan, setting the stage for the deadly Culling Games. Kenjaku’s goal was to deepen his understanding of Cursed Energy through chaos, recreating the turbulent Heian Era of Jujutsu sorcery.
Shibuya Incident Arc in Jujutsu Kaisen
The Shibuya Incident Arc is the sixth story of Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen. It revolves around the Shibuya Incident that takes place on October 31, 2018. In this arc, a powerful alliance between cursed spirits and curse users, orchestrated by Mahito and Pseudo-Geto, comes into action to seal Satoru Gojo.
