Ava’s sacrifice:

To stop Adriel’s sinister plan, Ava takes on a dangerous mission. She wears the Crown of Thorns and travels to the kingdom of Adriel, where she encounters Reya, a “God”-like entity. Reya convinces Ava to help Michael by detonating a Divinium bomb inside him, despite knowing that she will cause the deaths of Michael and Ava.

Emotional Moments:

Ava and Sister Beatrice finally kiss and express their love for each other. However, Ava abandons Beatrice to carry out the mission with Michael.

Adriel’s true plan:

Adriel’s true plan is to bring Reya to Earth through an Arc portal and control the planet with his own religion. He kills Michael and destroys the Warrior Nun’s plan.

Ava’s fight:

Ava fights Lilith and Adriel alone and wounds them both with the Cruciform Sword. Beatrice arrives on the scene, but she is unable to stop Ava from detonating the Divinium bomb. This act leaves Ava mortally wounded by Divinum shrapnel.

The Tarasks:

While in Reya’s kingdom, Ava learns about the Tarasks, guardians, and uses Halo to summon them. The Tarask destroy Adriel and Reya sends them back. However, Ava is also injured.

Lilith’s transformation:

Lilith, who had sided with Adriel, changes her mind after seeing the truth about Adriel’s plans. She admires Ava for her strength and sacrifices.

Michael’s fate:

Michael dies in a fight with Lilith, but hints that a part of him may still exist in Reya’s kingdom.

Beatriz’s decision:

Beatrice decides to leave the Order of the Cruciform Sword (OCS) after witnessing Ava’s sacrifice and doubting her faith.

Hope for the future:

The season ends with the Cruciform Sword shining once again, indicating that Ava might still be alive in Reya’s kingdom. The SCO begins to recover and the possibility of a Great War between Heaven and Hell looms.

warrior nun

Warrior Nun is a television series based on a comic book character named Warrior Nun Areala. The show was created by Simon Barry and was initially planned as a film. However, Netflix decided to turn it into a television series. They gave the green light to a first season.

The show is filmed in different locations in Andalusia, Spain, including a town called Antequera, where they filmed scenes at the fictional headquarters of the Order of the Cruciform Sword.

The story is about a girl named Ava Silva, played by Portuguese actress Alba Baptista. Ava is an orphan who becomes a quadriplegic but then discovers that she has special powers. These powers of hers lead her to join a group of former warrior nuns. This series was the first time that Alba Baptista acted in English.

The cast also includes actors such as Toya Turner, Thekla Reuten, Lorena Andrea, Kristina Tonteri-Young, Sylvia De Fanti and Tristán Ulloa.

Warrior Nun premiered on July 2, 2020, to mostly good reviews. It had two seasons, but Netflix decided to cancel it in December 2022. However, there is good news! On August 15, 2023, they announced that it would return as a trilogy of feature films.

Warrior Nun Plot

Warrior Nunt tells the story of a 19-year-old woman named Ava. One day, she wakes up in a morgue and realizes she is alive again. But there is something extraordinary about her: she has a divine artifact embedded in her back.

As Ava comes to terms with her new life, she discovers that she is now part of an ancient group called the Order of the Cruciform Sword. The mission of this order is to fight the demons of Earth, protecting humanity from supernatural threats.

However, Ava’s unique abilities and the divine artifact on her back make her the target of powerful forces that represent both heaven and hell. They want to find her and control her for her own purposes. So Ava finds herself caught in a battle between good and evil, trying to navigate her new role as a warrior nun while she faces dangerous adversaries from both sides.
