In the previous episode, Victor Frankenstein opted for a different approach, choosing to escort Tsugaru and Aya away from Royce’s agents Alice and Kyle, who were pursuing them, rather than engage in a confrontation. However, in exchange for this help, Victor sought information on the whereabouts of the werewolf village and retained possession of the Penultimate Night.
As Tsugaru and Aya continued their journey, they encountered Vera, one of the werewolf priestesses, who guided them to the village prison where Shizuku was being held. After getting information about Shizuku’s investigation, Aya and Tsugaru headed to the crime scene and stumbled upon an underground tunnel. Aya deduced that the young werewolves had been murdered underground, and their lifeless bodies had subsequently been brought to the surface and abandoned there.
Inside the tunnel, they discovered Alma’s lifeless body. The other end of the tunnel led back to the human village, where Louise’s body had also been discovered. Aya remembered that when Louise was just a little girl, her parents had tried to abandon her in the forest due to her disability, but Jutte intervened and brought her back home. Interestingly, Louise had decided to reveal Jutte’s true nature as a werewolf, possibly ensuring her continued care of her, leading the villagers to venerate her as her guardian angel.
