Sal Vulcano’s early career involved reuniting with his friends James Murray and Joe Gatto after graduating from college. They began practicing improv comedy at Joe’s house and eventually formed a comedy group in 1999 called The Tenderloins.
The Tenderloins began doing comedy sketches together and shared them on platforms such as YouTube, MySpace, and Metacafe. These sketches became quite popular online and racked up millions of views. In 2007, they won a grand prize of $100,000 on NBC’s It’s Your Show for one of their sketches called “Time Thugs.”
His breakthrough came in 2011 when his show “Impractical Jokers” premiered on TruTV. The show quickly gained a large following, with over 32 million viewers in its first season. Sal Vulcano, in particular, became known through the show. He holds the record for being the most punished member of the “Impractical Jokers”.

Sal and his friend Brian Quinn hosted the podcast “What Say You?”, which gained popularity and won awards. However, due to their busy schedules, they had difficulty keeping it running regularly.
