Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, founded in 1983 and located in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, is dedicated to preserving the history of influential figures in the music industry, especially in the field of rock and roll. Originally, there were four categories for induction: performers, non-performers, early influences, and lifetime achievements. In 2000, the category of “escorts” was introduced.
The “artists” category is the only one that consistently has new members each year. To be eligible for induction, artists must wait 25 years after the release of their first album. Nominees are chosen by a committee, with a maximum of 16 candidates for any given year, and more than 1,000 music experts receive ballots to evaluate and vote for their choices. Those artists who receive the most votes are admitted, and the number of inductees varies each year.
Starting in 2012, fans will also have the opportunity to vote, and their votes will have the same weight as those of experts. Since 2017, new inductees are honored at an annual ceremony held alternately in New York and the Cleveland Hall of Fame. As of 2022, there are a total of 365 members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Awards 2023
At the 2023 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Awards, The Spinners, a renowned musical group, were inducted into the Hall of Fame. New Edition paid tribute to them with a performance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where they performed some of The Spinners’ famous songs, wearing matching outfits.

How to stream the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Awards?
The 2023 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony marked a significant first, as it was the inaugural event available for live streaming. It was available for live viewing or on-demand streaming on Disney+, with the live stream beginning at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on November 3.
Additionally, there was the option to stream the audio live through Apple Music 1 the following Friday. Alternatively, those who preferred to wait could watch a two-hour primetime special on ABC, airing January 1. This presentation showcased highlights, performances and memorable moments from the induction ceremony that took place on Friday.
The special became available for streaming on January 2 on platforms such as Hulu and Disney+. This innovative approach allowed a broader audience to experience the 2023 inductee celebration, making it a momentous occasion for music enthusiasts and fans of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
