Rick And Morty Season 7 Episode 2 Ending Explained, Release Date, Cast, Plot, Review, Summary, Where to Watch and More

Rick and Morty Season 7

The seventh season of the American adult animated television show, Rick and Morty, began on October 15, 2023. This season will have ten episodes. The show’s seventh season was planned even before the fourth season ended in May 2020.

Something important to note is that Justin Roiland, who used to provide voices for the show, is not a part of this season. He was removed from the show in January 2023. However, he is still listed as co-creator and executive producer. Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden are replacing him, and Tom Kenny got a bigger role in the cast.

Rick and Morty Season 7 Episode 2 Ending Explained

At the end of “The Jerrick Trap,” Memory Rick finds himself trapped inside Jerry’s memory. He is trying to find a way to escape Jerry’s mind. This part of the movie was a strange and fun stand-alone story. Memory Rick goes through decades of Jerry’s memories in search of anything that might be useful to get out of Jerry’s mind; He believes that all technology runs on springs and gears. This resulted in a dejected Memory Rick trying and failing to build something out of these springs and gears, eventually taking his frustration out on Memory Gene.

The sequence was pretty silly, but it reveals something surprising about Rick and Morty’s history. Given that Memory Rick hadn’t been seen since she turned down Rick’s offer to become a real person at the end of the Rick and Morty season 5 episode, “Rickternal Friendshine of the Spotless Mort,” viewers might reasonably have wondered if the character already existed. His return proved that he was alive and well, or at least as alive as a sentient memory can be. Although this season poked fun at one of the show’s most famous classic episodes, this shows that the new season has some reverence for its predecessors.

Rick and Morty Season 7 Episode 2 Plot

The episode begins with Jerry asking Rick for help with a “rake situation” because he believes his rake has been stolen. Rick avoids helping him because he feels like he is beneath him. Jerry accuses Rick of wasting such a smart brain and Rick feels very insulted. Thinking that Jerry can use Rick’s brain better, he changes his mind to see what his body can really do, but when Rick emerges in Jerry’s body, he is soon overcome with the horror of taking his own life. Jerry, in Rick’s body, is injured by Rick’s numerous body devices and dies.

Morty gets into trouble with a mafia group for selling crystals on their territory. The boss decides to let him go because of Rick’s reputation. Meanwhile, Rick and Jerry revealed that they both have both minds in both bodies.

The mob boss calls them back and Rick and Jerry argue over how to handle the call. They both need to figure out how to work together to save Morty, when they realize they are in both bodies and decide to kill aliens in a big shootout.

After the mission, Rick and Jerry begin to bond even more as neither of them are Rick or Jerry anymore. The two become even closer as most of their personalities begin to connect well. But upon discovering that they are happier this way without the real Rick and Jerry stopping them, the two decide to run away on their own without fixing their brains as they previously promised.

Morty, Beth and Summer try to find Rick and Jerry, but the mob boss captures them and holds Rick and Jerry for ransom. Rick and Jerry begin to reflect on everything that happened between them and decide to return and help their families.

It is soon revealed that Jerry and Rick had another idea to fuse his more positive aspects into a mutant named “Jerricky”. Jerricky has fighting skills and Rick’s body devices, including psychic powers. The mafia boss and the rest of the mafia die and the situation remains uncomfortable for the rest of the family.

Jerricky states that Rick and Jerry are dead as before and prepares to leave. Before doing so, Gene tells the truth and says that he took Jerry’s rake as a way to stay in each other’s lives. When Jerricky doesn’t change his mind and they want to leave, Jerricky climbs onto a portcullis as Rick’s mind breaks through and says that a “Memory Rick” was hidden inside Jerry’s mind knowing they would have to come back at the end. all.

Rick and Jerry fight again, learning nothing from the adventure they had together, and it’s clear that nothing has changed despite how close they were when their brains were one.

Rick and Morty Season 7 Episode 2 Review

Rick and Morty season 7 is still amazing even though Justin Roiland, one of the co-creators, is not the voice character. The new voice actors are doing a fantastic job. The mind and brain exchange is one of the best parts of this Freaky Friday. Rick and Jerry are the most underrated couple on the show.
