In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 17, titled “Thunderclap, Part 2”, Megumi informs Shigemo that no sorcerer of the Ten Shadows has successfully exorcised the strongest Shikigami, Mahoraga. Megumi attempts an exorcism ritual involving Shigemo, but fails, rendering the ritual ineffective.

A flashback reveals Satoru telling Megumi about a past confrontation between a Gojo family head with Six Eyes and Limitless and a Zen’in family head with Ten Shadows, both resulting in their deaths. Satoru suggests that Megumi’s eventual strength could lead to her defeating Gojo, but only by using Mahoraga.

In the present, after Mahoraga is summoned, he kills Megumi, who enters a state of suspended death. Sensing Megumi’s danger, Sukuna intervenes and saves him by exorcising Mahoraga. Sukuna recognizes Mahoraga’s power to adapt and counters it with a Dominion that stops just short of Megumi, leading to Mahoraga’s defeat.

This event, known as the Shibuya Incident, concludes with Megumi being transported to Shoko. Sukuna returns control to Yuji, who is horrified by the events that unfold. In a post-credits scene, Kento Nanami is seen wandering aimlessly, with half of his body burned.
