“Megamind” follows the story of two alien babies, Megamind and Metro Man, who crash land on Earth after their planets were destroyed. While Metro Man grows up in luxury, Megamind grows up in a prison and becomes a supervillain due to his hard life. The two develop a rivalry, with Megamind always trying to defeat Metro Man but failing.
When Megamind seemingly defeats Metro Man, he takes over the city but is unhappy without a hero to fight. He creates a new hero using Metro Man’s DNA, but accidentally gives the powers to a clumsy guy named Hal, who becomes the villain Tighten. Megamind, with the help of his Minion friend, tries to stop the chaos of Tighten.
They realize that Metro Man is still alive, living a different life, and ask him for help. He refuses, encouraging Megamind to be the hero. Megamind tricks Tighten and saves the day, earning the town’s respect.
He and reporter Roxanne rekindle their relationship and Megamind becomes the new hero in town. Metro Man secretly supports him and everyone celebrates his victories.
