“The Flower Moon Killers” is a great movie made in 2023. A famous director named Martin Scorsese, along with Eric Roth, wrote and helped make the movie. They used a book called “Killers of the Flower Moon,” written by David Grann in 2017, as a basis for the story.
Some well-known actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone played important roles in the film. Others such as Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, John Lithgow and Brendan Fraser also had important roles. Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio have worked together on many films before and this is one of their collaborations.
The idea to make this film began in March 2016 when a company called Imperative Entertainment obtained the rights to turn the book into a film. Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio became involved in 2017 and planned to begin making the film in 2018.
However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, things were delayed. They finally began filming the film in 2021, primarily in Osage County and Washington County. Apple TV+ and Paramount Pictures helped with the money and made sure the film was seen.
The film had a very large budget of $200 million, which is one of the highest amounts ever spent on a film filmed in Oklahoma.
Flower Moon Killers Plot
In the 1920s in northeastern Oklahoma, bad things happen to the Osage tribe. They are killing people from the tribe and it is a great mystery. To find out what is happening, a special team begins to investigate these terrible events.
A young man named J. Edgar Hoover, just 29 years old, is in charge and leads the investigation. He is joined by a tough former Texas Ranger named Tom White, who is a skilled lawyer in the traditional sense. Together, they work hard to uncover the truth and solve these horrible crimes against the Osage tribe.
