The exterior of Allison’s home was filmed at Ropes Mansion, located at 318 Essex St. in Salem. It is owned by the Peabody Essex Museum and visitors can enjoy the garden there.

The school Max and Allison attend in the film is Phillips Elementary School at 56 S Washington Square in Salem. It is no longer a school and has been converted into apartments.
Pioneer town:
This historic set depicting Salem in the late 1690s was filmed at Pioneer Village, located at 98 West Ave. in Salem. You can visit this living history museum for a $5 entrance fee.
Old Town Hall:
