The Tailor, originally called Terzi, is a Turkish series starring Çağatay Ulusoy, Salih Bademci, Şifanur Gül and Olgun Şimşek. It was created by OGM Pictures and directed by Cem Karcı. It first aired on Netflix on May 2, 2023. The show was to be called Fancy Scarecrow and was planned for TV8, but ended up on Netflix.
It is inspired by the stories of a psychiatrist’s patients. The story follows Peyami Dokumacı, a young tailor with a successful family business. When his grandfather dies, he takes in his father Mustafa, who needs special care and is his big secret, all of which he keeps hidden from others. Meanwhile, Esvet, who fled an unhealthy relationship with Dimitri, enters her life carrying her own secrets.

The Tailor’s Plot
Peyami is a well-known tailor. After the death of his grandfather, he moves to Istanbul and brings with him his father, Mustafa, who is mentally ill and has childlike intelligence. Having his father around him has always been embarrassing for Peyami. The series shows Peyami’s challenging life, focusing on his love story with a client who is a future bride and hires him to make her wedding dress.
