Jeff Abel, born April 29, 1986, goes by the stage name Excision. He is a Canadian music producer and DJ. Excision is not only dedicated to making music, but also has its own record labels called Rottun Recordings and Subsidia Records. He has been active in the music scene since 2006 and, in 2007, he released his first song titled “Warning”. Every year from 2008 to 2016, he used to release a special mix album called “Shambhala” in the third quarter of the year. In 2017, he took it a step further by starting his own music festival known as “Lost Lands,” where he also releases annual mixes.
One of Excision’s most prominent features is their live shows. When he goes on tour, he is famous for bringing around huge sound systems and putting on huge visual displays.
Excision also created a record label called Destroid Music. When it started, Destroid released a digital album called “The Invasion”. Excision played a major role in the production of most of the album’s tracks and collaborated with other artists such as Datsik, Downlink, Space Laces, Far Too Loud, Bassnectar and Ajapai.
