Death Cab for Cutie, often shortened to DCFC or Death Cab, is an American rock band that began making music in 1997 in Bellingham, Washington. The core members are Ben Gibbard, who sings and plays guitar and piano, Nick Harmer on bass, Dave Depper on guitar, keyboards and backing vocals, Zac Rae on keyboards and guitar, and Jason McGerr on drums.
