In the third act, this caused slowdown issues. Which, after some investigation, we are very happy to say we have resolved in Patch 5, which is in testing and scheduled for release this week.”

Baldur’s Gate 3 Plot
Baldur’s Gate 3 takes place in a fantasy world called the Forgotten Realms, 120 years after the last game. Players wake up on a strange mind flayer ship with a parasite that can turn them into mind flayers. The ship crashes and they meet others with the same problem. To get rid of the parasite, they try different methods but fail.
They find a special device that helps resist the control of the parasite. The group becomes involved in saving a grove, facing challenges, and uncovering a plot of powerful beings controlling the skinner threat. They travel to different places, meet companions with their stories, and face powerful enemies at Baldur’s Gate.
Over time, they face difficult decisions about how to deal with the mind flayer threat, deciding between saving the world or taking control themselves. After defeating the main threat, a mysterious figure hints at the failures of the gods, leaving room for possible future events.
