The 2023 ACC Football Awards highlighted big plays from Florida State’s Jordan Travis and NC State’s Payton Wilson. Travis did incredible with 2,755 passing yards, 20 touchdowns and a super low interception rate. He was even named ACC Football Player and Offensive Player of the Year. Wilson earned the ACC Defensive Player of the Year title, making over 400 tackles in his career and being really strong in different defensive aspects. He led in tackles behind the line with 138 tackles, 6 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss. Both Travis and Wilson did very well, leaving a huge impact on the 2023 ACC football season with all their awards and great plays.

ACC Football Awards Winner
In the ACC football awards for the 2023 season, NC State did very well, winning two major titles. Payton Wilson, a linebacker, earned the ACC Defensive Player of the Year award, making him the third Wolfpack player to do so since 1993, after Bradley Chubb and Levar Fisher. Wilson had a great defensive season with many awards and impressive statistics, even being considered for national awards.
On the offensive side, Kevin “KC” Concepción showed off his incredible skills and won ACC Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year awards. Concepción, in his first season as a senior wide receiver, had three games with over 100 receiving yards and a unique combination of over 750 receiving yards and 250 rushing yards. Both Wilson and Concepción were recognized on the All-ACC teams, with Wilson on the First Team and Concepción on the Second Team. NC State’s success in both defensive and offensive areas highlights its major contributions to the 2023 ACC football season.
