“A Breeze of Love” is a Korean BL series focused on two college students who reunite after years of separation. Former friends, their relationship soured before they split. In a twist of fate, their paths cross again at the school basketball club, but unresolved tensions continue to test their connection. The protagonist proposes a deal to his teammate: if they win the next match, he asks her for a special favor.
The first episodes of “A Breeze of Love” captivate with the characters who go through their complicated past. The love story unfolds with delicate emotions, dreamy images and a touch of melancholy. However, the slow progression of the narrative becomes evident, focusing on unresolved tensions and introducing tedious filler. Vague flashbacks increase frustration and feelings of disconnection. The drama falls short with its weak plot and lackluster romance, leaving much to be desired.
Explanation of the ending of episode 8 of A Breeze of Love
The series concludes with Do-hyun and Dong-wook happily together. Dong-wook manages to overcome his insomnia even without Do-hyun, but she still wants him to stay by her side.
It’s a sweet and happy ending, and we really enjoyed this Korean Boy Love story. Unfortunately, we didn’t see much of Seung-joo and Hye-in. If there is another season, we hope to see Seung-joo’s new relationship and find out who captured her heart at first sight.
If you are looking for a lovely and heartwarming Korean BL to watch, we highly recommend you binge watch this show. Its nostalgic, enemy-to-lover plot is well executed and easy to follow, despite the numerous flashbacks.

Dongwook, a college student returning after a year away, faces a tense reunion with Dohyun, an old high school friend. Despite their fights, Dongwook is convinced to join the basketball club, where Dohyun, a passionate player, challenges him to a match. Although Dongwook loses, his skills earn him a place on the team. As teammates, their relationship remains distant. Dongwook, who suffers from insomnia, plans to leave the club, but Dohyun realizes that he is needed. Dongwook proposes a deal: if the team wins, Dohyun must fulfill a special wish. The team, determined to win, reluctantly accepts Dongwook’s mysterious condition.

Ban Dong Wook, who suffers from chronic insomnia, returns to university reluctantly and with little interest in making friends. Surprisingly, he joins the basketball team to spend time with Lee Do Hyun, the only person who helps him sleep.
Even though the team needs new members, the typically friendly Do Hyun is hesitant due to his high school history. The series, adapted from the webtoon “Weather Forecast Love,” explores a unique romance where Dong Wook can only sleep peacefully near Do Hyun.
The cinematography is vibrant and matches the summer romance theme. The basketball scenes are well choreographed, although the characters often seem more like models than students.
The chemistry between Shin Jeong You and Woo Ji Han is remarkable. While the show is less harrowing than similar dramas, the climactic conflict seems unnecessary. With only eight episodes of about 16 minutes each, “A Breeze of Love” is a binge-worthy college romance with attractive leads.
